About

Earthmother Farm is a small-scale market garden, food forest, and arts centre located in Annan, Ontario. Nestled between neighboring Owen Sound and Meaford in Grey County, we produce organic nutrient-dense vegetables, medicinal herbs, and fruit, while doing our best to enrich the soil and respect the existing natural habitat. Through ecological, small-scale farming and gardening practices, we strive to leave a light environmental footprint on the land encouraging re-generation, while nourishing our community with quality local foods, teas, and medicines.

The fruit orchard, combining many apple and other fruit trees with perennial shrubs and medicinal plants was started by Sat Dharam Kaur, N.D., family, and community.

The market garden is run by Gurudayal Khalsa and is slowly expanding to meet customer demand from our first season in 2022.

We are a small inter-generational family-farm.

The Farm

Situated in Annan, adjacent to the Niagara Escarpment, our farm has under two acres of crops in production. Combining vegetables, herbs and a fruit orchard with workshops and community events, we have plenty to offer and share.

What is a CSA?

Community-Supported Agriculture

Community-Supported Agriculture is a beautiful partnership in which members pledge to help cover the anticipated costs of the farm’s production for a growing season, and in return receive a portion of the farm’s crops over a specified period of time. Rather than simply purchasing food at a store or market, as a member of Earthmother Farm, you receive so many benefits!

• a portion (or a “share”) of the farm’s harvest,
• the chance to invest in your local agricultural economy,
• the knowledge of how and where your food is grown,
• a strong relationship with your farmers
• a chance to connect and learn from other CSA members
• lots of education on how to eat with the seasons and enjoy our produce, and
• the opportunity to come visit our farm and connect with the land.
